After a convincing win against the No. 1 team in the country, Michigan State on Dec. 4, Carolina is playing host to Kentucky this Saturday. This has been a classic matchup for years – check out a short history of the game on the Heels website.
The pictures and videos are from the 2010 game, when the Tar Heels grinded out a 75-73 victory behind Tyler Zeller’s 27 points.
Watch the dramatic finish to the game in the clip below: Dexter Strickland made the first of two free throws with 5.6 seconds to go to give UNC the two-point lead. But there was one more shot for Kentucky with the clock winding down.
Update:
UNC won, 82-77.
